In the late 1800s,
folk artists used this method of decoration
to cover household items such as bottles and crocks, These items have been coined MEMORYWARE.
Circa 1920
I started to use mosaics to showcase your sentimental keepsakes by incorporating them in patterns of colored tiles and shards of dishes in 1991.

You may of heard the French term for this method;
pique assiette (broken china).

I can help you decide what your custom mosaic could be.
(table, mirror, covered box, bird bath...etc.) That is considered the base.
My estimate includes the cost of the base plus $124 per square foot of mosaic area. (ex: you find a nice size table at a garage sale that is $15.
It has a top that measures 20"x24" The cost is $15 + $411.68=$426.68.)
(Custom tile- using photos- adds to the cost.)

I have an assortment of base items and over 75 patterns
of dishes and china. I have collected assorted old costume jewelry,
toys, bottle caps, stones and shells to add to the personal items
you provide. The ratio is usually 25% personal items and
75% mosaic materials I have available. Your "wreck-o-llection" can
have a color palette of your choosing too!

The mosaic takes approximately five weeks to complete.
